District Partnerships
NWP @ Rider is committed to working with districts throughout the county to provide high quality services by highly qualified local professionals. Currently, NWP @ Rider offers two types of dynamic services that meet the changing needs of local districts as well as the updated NJ Core Content Standards.

Inservice
NWP @ Rider staff will travel to your district to provide high quality workshops, seminars, and presentations on a variety of different content specialties. These inservice programs are developed by teachers to be effective in the classroom. The providers base their presentations in current research and provide connections to the most recent theories in pedagogy.

Classroom Visitation
As district teachers work to establish the routines and methods of a new teaching style or technique, Teacher Consultants from NWP @ Rider will work one on one with them to guide and support the process. The number and frequency of visitations can vary depending on the needs of the teacher and the school.

Open Institutes
This type of inservice provided by NWP @ Rider is located centrally and offers an opportunity for teachers, staff and administrators from multiple districts to come together and learn from Teacher Consultant. Topics for Open Institutes vary and often fit the needs of multiple subject areas and grade levels at once. 2010 Summer Offerings

Teacher Inquiry Communities
Inquiry communities allow an opportunity for teachers to work together to research and develop a new theory or technique that can then be applied to the classroom or school environment. With guidance from an NWP @ Rider TC, teachers will learn to conduct research, collect and analyze data, and write a report of the results. Topics for TICs are limited only by the imagination of the participants. Contact the Inquiry Team for further information and to start a community.
